What what! So I don’t have a good excuse for this being late. I got addicted to a mobile game, which is an excuse but not a good one.

Planning, yes. The project’s on hold due to locking myself out of my iPad and feeling overwhelmed at unlocking it; learning languages; falling in love with teaching again; and having most of my creative energy directing itself to adjusting to the changes and freedom that come with semi-retirement. I thought I’d have all this time, but somehow there’s so much to do, and I don’t want to rush anymore.

Adore all the expressions in this chapter. I mean Sergio, yes, but you draw everyone with such personality, I feel like I can hear them. Of course gathering information is the next move. THIS IS SCIENCE. We gotta know what kind of point load Yuan is carrying. 5000? 7500? 10000?

Haha I think I’m the only one bothered by Miles comment that Yuan is a NICE guy. Look, not gonna debate whether Yuan is nice or not, but that being NICE and taking a substance that alters your mood (drug) are contradictory. I get why sweet Miles would say that, since society in media (film, News, what have you) shows people that do drugs as worthless junkies, silly-stupid stoners, or vacuous rich women who need something to feel that void in their lives. Miles, hun, you can be a nice person and do drugs. It’s okay, baby, mommy’s here to get you high.
